Transformation for the next decade and beyond

Transforming the ways of working for the Office of Public Prosecutions

The context

The legal practitioners of Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) carry a substantial caseload and must manage their time as effectively as possible.

The OPP turned to Alyve to help find ways to optimise core workflows and the technologies that support them. The criticality of this work increased as Covid-19 drove increased demand on the OPP’s services.

Our approach

Alyve undertook a detailed assessment of OPP workflows, and how well the core system supported the business. We identified significant system gaps and issues, as well as broader technology and process inefficiencies.

We worked closely with the OPP to align stakeholders around these challenges, and how a future state technology architecture could deliver substantial benefits to the business and the effectiveness of its lawyers.

Based on our vision and the success in aligning the business, we were asked to help the OPP navigate its vendor section and market engagement process. Our proprietary procurement process ensured that the OPP received highly detailed and tailored vendor responses, with minimal gaps and risks in the final selection.

The results

OPP have since implemented a multi-million-dollar transformation program based on advice. This will deliver significant workflow enhancements, efficiencies, improved collaboration, and optimised service delivery.

Alyve are proud to have played a crucial role in the OPP transformation journey and the citizens they serve, and are delighted that we continue to work with them on this program.
